Bridge to AlgebraGiving students a boost in math skills and confidence! A summer program designed to support rising 9th grade students who are at risk for failing Algebra 1. The program includes direct math instruction, group problem solving, and individualized support. Students experience lessons based on Stanford professor Jo Boaler’s research and learn to move from a “fixed-mindset” (“I’m either good at math or not”) to a “growth mindset” (“I CAN learn anything and be good at math). Students also receive lessons from the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens.
